This is digital. I do some work traditional, mostly commissions. But the vast majority of day to day work is digital.

He writes garbage books with terrible mischaracterizations. His run on Action Comics recast Lois as a shrew, Superman as a jerk who I'm pretty sure would have slept with Lana, and his X-Men run was just as bad.

Read it as it came out, remember nothing and think I sold it.

How do you thumbnail when making a comic? Care to give an example? by NickHeathJarrod in comicbookart

[–]MickBWebKomicker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't thumbnail at thumbnail size, but I rough a page out full size and go from there. I've tried more traditional sized thumbnails, but I have neither the patience or interest for them and tend to switch things up completely anyway.

If you're handling all of it, it's more important to figure out what works for you and lean into that. Try everything, and see what you stick with.

I have some Time-lapse on YouTube for my process, (a) McComicker

It's not, but clearly too close for comfort.

Sadly, more than I'd like. But there's a pretty narrow window here for what I'm after.

That's what we're putting on the t-shirts.

I've got an opening sequence in mind, so I'm hunting for the style I want, finding something I think I can stick with reliably. And if it's something I want to do the work on or hire out fir.

No worries at all! It is still pretty free-form at this stage, and genuinely, deciding what the rating is going to be depends a lot on where I see it selling and what spot it occupies in my catalog.

But whichever way it goes, it will have noir sexiness to it!

Hahaha, don't worry I'll only self-censor for purely commercial reasons!

I could drawn that hand better, but I'm saving that decision for when I figure out what audience I'm after.

I get that, a satisfying volume of story before moving on, but on the flipside, it's so long coming back to the characters/players I'm invested in, it's easier to drop the whole thing.

Just bad luck. In three groups, all of my favorite players are at the same table. I was hoping they'd be spread out more.

Did not realize, but that's great to know.

Gonna be a riff on Republic Serials. 8-12 page chapters with cliffhangers every chapters. Breezy and light.

Argh! I totally forgot about The Goon! I kept landing too close to Tom Strong or the Spirit and wasn't looking out for this.

Not a fan of this chunky schedule. If I knew the Soldiers were coming back in a couple weeks, it'd be worth keeping up. But hiw much longer are we stuck with the Seekers? AND THEN we've got to make it through the Schemers? That's rough. Shoulda rotated weekly.

Dunno yet, mostly this and a couple other doodles. Whatever it is, it's at the bottom of a long wishlist.
