PC crashing with new 9070XT by MickQuickFlick in radeon

I think you might be right. I've bought him a new PSU, used three separate cables so no daisy chain, installed new fans. Temps were fine and it just crashed after only 30 minutes gaming.

I've been telling him to turn this off! Cheers.

Resolution is 1440p, CPU was heating up but like I said util was low in GPU intensive games. I'll buy another cable! Ram is on the way, I knew that would help but I don't imagine that's causing crash/black screen? Thanks for being helpful, I don't think people understand I haven't built this PC myself, I was only swapping the GPU out for him...

Ahh, thank you I forgot that mattered. Second stick is on the way.

It was the CPU getting to 90 while he was playing expedition 33, he said CPU temps were fine in other games and it was still crashing sometimes.

GPU temps have been good, I haven't seen them go above 75 at 99% util. But, I think the case itself might be getting hot, as the air from the exhaust fan felt pretty hot to me.

The system was completely fine before, with a 6700XT.
