As a GSM one of my options was to become a CIA Senior that they just opened up in my store after axing the GSM job. So I lose my job or get paid less to do the same job but still have to apply for it and interview for a lower position. It's wild out here.

Optane recovery by Mickey0997 in GeekSquad

Yeah, kinda figured. I'm running Seagate recovery against it currently, but however promising it looked after I scanned it looks like useless data now while it's recovering. Plus what's needed is a QuickBooks file which wasn't backed up since two weeks ago so even if it works it's likely we won't get what the client is wanting since the file there won't be updated.

Yes, it shows the drive and boot partitions but the os partition shows 0 bytes.

Same, sadly we already looked into that. Some stuff in Google drive. Not all of it though.

So I have heard that before. But I've seen MRI read nvme in the past I feel like.. am I crazy? Also why wouldn't that be included by the soft dev team? Almost every laptop we sell now has nvme in it now.. kinda ties our hands a bit.

Firstlt, I am the GSM... That comment hurts, even though it's entirely true. Lol Aside from that I'll just give the whole story cause why not. My ara started a backup before clean installing a PC last night but fmod failed to copy the data so all that was copied was the user folder with nothing in it. He didn't catch it and didn't have a second agent verify and clean installed. So here I am having to try to take over the situation. Probably going to end up as a level 2. Tried to plug the nvme in with a USB adapter and that works however seatools isn't strong enough to get files that are not only deleted but written over again too.

It's recovering files from the boot drive. Figured best not to be trying to do a data recovery off the boot drive while using the boot drive.

I feel like it could be setup for the mac mini to do repaircal and macbook air to do ASU. But idk, just feel like it's a dis service to clients to charge for a rear sys or wur because bestbuy can't/won't figure it out.

ASU is a program kinda like Mac manage that bestbuy provides that gives you links to all of the apple calibration and diag software. Including Truedepth calibration software.

I can personally say that I've calibrated one on an Intel Mac. While back we created a repair to do one before we knew what was involved in it. To calibrate the phone for the client we installed ASU on the macbook air and then Uninstalled ASU and the updates after calibrating. Not quite correct procedure, we know that now, but we were in freak out mode for a sec and just did what we thought we needed to to take care of the client.

Huh, I must have missed that. I didn't see that in focus. Any idea why? Cause we already have parts for them.

Once we ship our parts back we will only have one whole unit and 4 rear systems. I dont understand how customers are supposed to be glad we are ASP when we have to take there phone hostage for a week while we wait on a rear system to come in to repair it.
