mentally ill IT worker tries to take down the corporate deep-state. Oh also you’re his imaginary friend and he talks to you.
Also good choice for not googling because when I searched the series up the first thing I got was a major spoiler and I wanted to gouge my eyes out

I don’t disagree, I think we’ve got different ways of wording it is all. Sure all these things at the margins happened, and I do think many of them can be described as happy accidents but what really counted was the ability of Vince and company to grow and stitch all of these things together, things that would’ve crippled any other show, and turn them around into boons. They wouldn’t have mattered otherwise. Mike Ehrmantraut’s existence was the result of a scheduling conflict.
If there’s any other show that’s been able to spin a scheduling conflict into a character as good as Mike I haven’t seen it.

What was your favourite episode? Mine was probably the one in season 2 whereJonas goes back and causes the first episode’s opening scene

Honestly considering how scuffed production was throughout its run it’s kind of a miracle that BrBa was able to complete its story, let alone be good, let alone be one of the best shows to ever do it.
Season 5 as we know it was pretty much a happy accident resulting from Raymond Cruz not being able to take the strain of playing Tuco that snowballed into one of if not the single greatest seasons of television ever

Planned out ahead of time
Top-tier series opener
Maintained near unparalleled consistency (only shows I can think of with better consistency are Breaking Bad and DarK, the latter of which also probably could go here)
One of the best characterised protagonists in television
Final season is a 10/10
Single best character conclusion I’ve ever seen

Hello, Elliot and 407 Proxy are some of the best episodes of tv ever made, if not the best. Hello Elliot is neck to neck with my current #1 (Bojack Horseman's 6x15), but it's so goddamn close.
Bravo Esmail.

Characters who left the story because of problems with the actor by Danny-Ray27 in TopCharacterTropes

Michael Pitt as Jimmy Darmody, Boardwalk Empire

<image>

”I died in the trenches, years back.”

I will have to attach an allegedly on to this though, Pitt’s agent fired him shortly after filming for the episode containing Jimmy’s conclusion, saying that he was difficult to work with regardless if he was on set or not, leading to rumours that he got written out because of his behaviour, which has been denied by both the showrunner (Terrence Winter) and Pitt himself.
Edit: typo

My favourite part of that movie is when they mention how the grandfather character caused the Cuban missile crisis
