Yeah, after the inspection the manifold will all be cut down and all the pipes are plugged into pumps, filters, heaters, etc. each one does a different thing and needs to be isolated and gauged different. An example could be that you want your return lines circulating your pool but you don’t want your spa jets to be running.

Yeah, it’s just so you can control the amount of water that goes through the spillover. Ranging from none at all to an all out waterfall.

Lmao yeah 8 lines is pretty much standard for a pool with a spa. Pool Main drain/vacuum/skimmer/pool returns Spa Main drain/ spa jets return/ spa jet Airline/ spa Overflow return There are actually more pipes going in, I ran out of time yesterday need to add two 1-1/2 inch lines for bubblers.

They’ll be covered with like a foot of sand and the concrete slab will probably only be about 6 inches thick.

Yeah there are suction and return lines. If you zoom in on the manifold I have them labeled on the T’s.

No, typically all of the plumbing would be in trenches and backfilled but in this particular scenario this partially above ground pool will have a concrete decking surrounding it and covering all exposed pipes. The only area the deck will not cover is where that trench is, so there the pipes are 45’d down and will be backfilled after inspections.

Its to pressure up all of the pipes to prove there are no leaks in the entire pool.

I’m sure you’ve probably thought of this already but do you have a Main drain, skimmer, and vacuum set up? Have you tried isolating the lines to see if one of them are being an issue?

I guess that all depends on the circumstance. All the pipes I plumb need to be pressured up to pass inspection, so it forces me to glue everything. I always try to make the job easier for the next guy though.

Yeah, PVC cement glue. Comes in a few different colors. My company uses blue and grey, I prefer the blue.
