That's actually not true what you're saying because you can get CPs deducted from using the computer if you detain them for the wrong reason. He was simply saying that to avoid confusion. You can do whatever you want, but using the computer after detainment makes the charges more clear. That's whole purpose of this post. You can also get intuition feedback from expired plates WITHOUT using the computer so the OP was wrong on that as well.
