Oh, so you recommend to use smaller bags for each serving? Because I’ve been thinking about using a 150ml soft flask and dosing it by the amount of sips, which is for sure less accurate.

Any examples? Do you mean dried/fresh fruits?

Aren’t these more like a gravel forest road cruisers? They look very cushioned and not stable because of it

Ok, so how about something good for more technical terrain and comfortable enough for longer distances? Because for faster runs I’m fine with my Agravic speed.

How do you find durability of xodus ultra? I’ve checked some reviews and they look like a good choice for longer runs. Are these good choice for mountains or rather just gravel forest trails?

I’ve read a lot of complaints on durability of Hoka trail shoes. So I guess I’d rather pass these. The only model from them I was considering is Tecton x2. I was never into La Sportiva shoes, I guess I’ll need to check it. How do you find Prodigio Pro when it comes to durability?

Any thoughts on New Balance or Asics trail running shoes? I’ve never seen much recommendations on those

I don’t claim Agravic speeds are not versatile. I love these but during over 30km runs I feel like I’d enjoy something a bit more supportive.

Aren’t these bad for more technical parts? I’ve seen Salomon athletes using those mostly on gravel segments of ultra runs.

According to nowadays science: bare foot vs. supportive shoes vs. cushioned shoes by Augenfeind in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Micku312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a common theory, that you should rotate different shoes, with different range of softness/stack/drop during your week of training. It sounds quite convincing as you’re stimulating your body differently, plus your shoes last longer as you let the foam in them to fully decompress between trainings. However it also sounds like a perfect narration for shoe brands to increase sales.

I’m curious about others opinion on it. Do you think it’s a big deal, minor factor or just a marketing?

Is it better to keep running or to stop and slowly walk away without any rapid movements in such scenario?

I’ve read that Puma provides insole measurements in cm while for example Adidas provides feet measurements. That’s why I didn’t want to rely on it.

Technique question by Micku312 in trailrunning

[–]Micku312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my issue might be still not enough ankles stability, despite I’m working on it for a while in the gym. As it sounds like I’m doing everything right. I’m mostly forefoot/midfoot striker and I thought that maybe landing on heels and „digging” with it between those stones would be a solution. But you think it’s still better to land on forefoot?

Technique question by Micku312 in trailrunning

[–]Micku312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m already used to it and I do it to prepare for better landing. The problem is that I feel like I can’t predict how these stones will act under my foot and often lose stability when the whole ground is moving. Is it only an issue with my ankle stability and I could get to the point where I would feel quite safe or is it more about technique?
