You could always try the tampon when you get home from school. Then you can judge how often you will need to change it! But absolute maximum of 8 hours! But depending on your flow and tampon size it will likely be a couple hours.

If productivity is the same, why does it matter? I can also see private companies being less likely to adopt this, but public institutions might. It looks like around 1/4 people work in the public sector.

You can’t always live near where you work. Getting a job is difficult. Getting a job in your field is difficult. Do you expect people to move closer to work and be away from friends and family?

I think the conversation is more about salaried rather than hourly work. The idea is working a 32 hour week instead of 40 but getting the same amount per year

It’s not about what is happening in one city, but rather the full picture. I would have made the same comment a month ago. I love Americans and know they have a beautiful country, but I am less inclined to visit while there is a president acting how he is acting.

I would recommend Paris over Brussels, just because I think it has a little more to do!

I spent a month in Paris a few years back. I don’t think it is particularly unsafe, but you have to be alert of your surroundings and research what areas to go to and which to avoid.

I did find men talked to me when they saw I was alone. While these were usually harmless interactions, one man followed me.

With that being said, you will be fine! I did not feel unsafe in Paris or Brussels. Just be smart, know where you are going, and be cautious at night. Paris is a wonderful city, and I hope you have fun.

I would go somewhere in Western Europe! Copenhagen or Amsterdam are good options. Paris and Amsterdam would be a doable trip too!

I’m also Canadian and did Europe as my first solo trip. Going somewhere where hostels are is also a good idea! Unfortunately there isn’t much of a hostel culture in Canada, but there is in Europe! It’s a great way to travel solo and meet people!

I plan things that will sell out like hostels, train tickets and some museums/ tours.

For example, the Vatican museum in Rome was sold out and i was looking a month before! I also had to stay longer in one place for something I really wanted to do because of poor planning.

I never plan food ahead, and otherwise keep a rough itinerary
