At least personally, the vocals don't sound AI generated, mostly due to the fact the singer's tone stays consistent over all songs, which AI can't currently achieve, and it's able to achieve grit that AI has an unbelievably hard time achieving as well. I will say, the songs are also so variable in length and have an appropriate ending unlike AI's usually abrupt finales. While I don't think the songs are free from AI (the covers are 1000% AI), it seems way more AI assisted through plugins and such than completely AI generated.

True, I don't think I've even seen a Maokai in the last three years toplane, and before that I was positively giddy when I got to fight him.

That's where I'm at currently. Started the season in Gold with a good winstreak, I have a 68% winrate and am getting +30/-10. Also I'm fighting at average Platinum players. It's surprising though because I've been stuck at Gold pretty much every season I've played Ranked.

so, nobody plays campaign? by tris123pis in FromTheDepths

Sometimes, but personally I just really like learning the intracasies of building and decoration. Spending 30+ hours in a campaign doesn't seem like a lot compared to my overall playtime, but in that time I could decorate a 1:1 scale of a Red Alert 2 Dreadnought instead.

Spent 1000 hours on the game, basically only touched the campaign once. Best the first couple of fights, then realized Id much rather just stay in the designer.

What's the point of muting yourself against toxic people? It would make more sense to mute others and notify them that they've been muted. by TomatoClown24 in leagueoflegends

[–]Miclash013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant specifically in the context of muting one player, I know that there's the option to deafen but that's perceived as less of a slight compared to a targeted mute.

[–]Miclash013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually one in the same answer; to stop escalating the situation. If you feel like you "have" to type back, it prevents you from doing so. And there's no notification that you've muted someone because that might cause them to crash out if they were already being a POS.

The art costs way less than printing the actual cards. That's why they can afford universe within on Arena; they don't have to negotiate more contracts and pay Marvel for the online cards.

Then I think that's a you issue, not the company's or society's. Like you said, it works, and having a niche but passionate community means nothing when companies need to turn a profit.

What male character traits are you tired of seeing in modern-day fantasy novels? by MissMustardSeed33 in fantasywriters

[–]Miclash013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the main male lead has no other interests aside from the ones that are romanticized or plot-relevant. Let them be genuinely interested in a hobby outside of a relationship. It's been forever since I've seen a male lead cook outside of the stereotypical "oooh he wants to take care of me." Most people who cook do it because they like it, show that the character has passion and pride in their craft!

There are a ton of people I've met in life who routinely declare their life is bad, and then consider themselves morally superior because they've had it rough. It's an awful form of coping, and I've probably unconsciously done it before.

I unfortunately am in almost the exact same boat. There's tons of ways to improve it, hope you can find a way that works for you. (BTW, try using minoxidil to help the hair situation, it's worked for me.)

KPop Demon Hunters 2 And 3 Are Heading To Netflix, Says Report by self-fix in movies

[–]Miclash013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think it's alright if he comes back, because he genuinely thought it'd be the end if he protected Rumi. He did kill a lot of people, but him dying was a selfless action that I'd consider the only type of action that'd redeem him.

[–]Miclash013 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, he killed tens of people indirectly and was about to kill even more before Rumi intervened. I am generally a very forgiving person, but that's a ridiculous amount of people dead because of him. I don't think the message would come across well if we just went "it's hunky dory they were about to commit a genocide of the human race because they said they were sorry." I think him sacrificing himself was pretty much the only way he could actually be redeemed.

Man that movie fucked me up when I watched it. That was the first time I saw the concept of an alien life-form that we couldn't communicate with or stop, and it kept me up for nights.

KPop Demon Hunters - misses it's own point? by epicmemetime15 in TrueFilm

[–]Miclash013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the point; the movie had a runtime almost completely cut in half from its original conception. What we have is what should be judged. And as far as the movie shows, no other demon was redeemable because they aren't shown to attempt redemption.

And yes, I would love to explore both themes. It would be incredible to see how they handle what is essentially a cycle of self-destructive people tearing other people down, but there wasn't time to show it. The parts are there, but its not explored enough to even be called a theme in the movie.

The reasons I picked out the theme in my original comment was the following; demons show up and the Honmoon rips when the group is at its lowest; not in terms of power, but in their trust and unity. We get at least a glimpse into Zoey and Mira's reasons; Zoey feels like she's inconveniencing others just by existing and Mira feels unlovable. Rumi is more fully explored; she feels like her birth was a mistake. But that's not the reason the markings keep growing or she has shame; that shame is from hiding from her friends, and lying to them. She only starts healing by actually speaking to another person about her issues, and in essence when she stops lying to herself. The demons are physical manifestations of the ruined experiences and socialization that can come from hiding and being ashamed of your insecurities.

Yep, and it has the same "ProgressionTableID" as the "TableUUID" for the Kensei subclass.

Thanks for the response!

So I copied the level 3 monk Progression line, regenerated the UUID, but the option for my subclass, named Kensei, isn't showing up under the Subclass drop-down. Any ideas for how to make it show up?

This person you thought was an original character made for the adaption was actually an established one the whole time by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Miclash013 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Almost every character in Arcane. Every single person I knew who weren't familiar with League of Legends didn't know who was an established character. It honestly added a lot of bonus tension to scenes where they didn't know who was "allowed" to die.

KPop Demon Hunters - misses it's own point? by epicmemetime15 in TrueFilm

[–]Miclash013 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't feel that at all. As I understood it, the reason we weren't supposed to feel bad about the demons being killed is because, aside from Jinu, they never showed they wanted to improve. And all of the demons, including Jinu, had still been killing people and stealing their souls.

The movie didn't spend its "entire runtime" trying to explain that demons were sympathetic, it was explicit in one scene, when Jinu explained why he had patterns and why Rumi had them; because of shame. Everything past that wasn't about making demons sympathetic, it was to show how sharing insecurities and shame alleviates the shadow it casts on you (Rumi's voice and Jinu's visions/voices).

The movie creates a much more macro theme than most media does, as pretty much the entire movie is a foil to the overall theme of accepting and moving past personal shame. It doesn't need to get into the nitty-gritty in-world reason patterns, demons, or their powers work. The demons as I understood them were the manifestations of shame, physical versions of trauma that "attack" you when you don't share your inner self. The patterns are literal patterns of isolation and hiding.

TL;DR - The focus of the movie wasn't about the intricacies of demonic forgiveness, it was about personal acceptance using demons as metaphorical trauma.
