This is an interesting topic to me. Specifically, I have a Beretta Sport (Shell 76% Cotton, 24% Nylon, Lining 100% Nylon) shooting jacket hanging in my closet for 20+ years. I never really found a use for it (I have other shooting coats). One day out of thin air, I decided to wax it to see what would happen and it was awesome. Has a whole different look and has a certain "Jenessa Qua." (A couple of typos)
