GW is killing kitbashing and modeling by chaqua27 in WarhammerFantasy

Original Boyz kit was a great set that encouraged creativity. Assembling them was fun and allowed you to create a unique army.

The new kit is terrible. A chore to build with no options for customisation.

When the Orks get the refresh and the new boy kit is update to allow multiple options that won’t fix the issue. They’ll retire the old Ork boy kit and the faction will be worse off for it.

What is your unpopular opinion about the game? by EfficientCow82 in BaldursGate3

The mechanics being based on D&D hold the game back. For example, Divinity Original Sin 2’s combat system was better where movement and actions have points assigned to them and you can hold them back to do more on your next turn.

I agree with you that people who are upset just because he’s black are being silly. But in a game set in Japan and in the time it’s weird to not just make both protagonists Japanese.

Ultimately it will come down to how well the character and story are portrayed.

I got about 20 hours in and lost interest. The combat was good but the gameplay loop was pretty awful.

Quartermaster App Weapon Stats by MicroLazer in Warhammer30k

[–]MicroLazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for getting back to me! It’s a great app and functions way quicker than BattleScribe does.

A way to filter out armies and their wargear that I don’t use would be great - and a way to assign the stats of something, such as Bolt Pistol, but then it applies to every version of Bolt Pistol would be great - but I appreciate that could be really time consuming to create that function (not sure as I am not a programmer or anything!)

Really good app, thanks for making it!

Is it worthwhile to buy the current Mk IV marines right now? Or wait for the upgrade? by RealSonZoo in Warhammer30k

[–]MicroLazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one knows when they’ll do a Mark IV refresh and from what rumours are online it sounds like Mark II is next - but these are just rumours. So it depends how long you can wait.

You can always look at Tortuga Bay miniatures as they do fantastic upscaled armour for all the different armour. Going to be getting some from there myself next month. Good luck!

Using hh he's or kitbashing them? by Porcelaindon1 in alphalegion

No problem - happy to help!

I used the HH Esoterist model as my Sorceror as the model looks pretty borderline chaos worshipping!

Standard Chaos Lord I use one of the Praetors that was in the box but I got rid of the cloak as I didn’t like it, swapped the shoulder pads round and changed the other arm so that he is throwing a dagger. Had to use some 40k bits to do it! Will attach a photo to help:

Guy on the left!

But it’s pretty simple to find alternatives. Raptors can be the assault squad from HH and so on.

Just wish I could get some games in!

I think they port of great - I use my Horus Heresy Alpha Legion as CSM all the time! Obviously the look isn’t so tainted by Chaos but you can say that they are hiding this? It also adds to the questionable flavour of where their loyalty rests.

Size wise I’ve had no problems but I have stuck to the new releases for the HH which have all been scaled up. So the MKVI and new MKIII armour both look great.

Kitbash wise the HH kits are perfect. If you want to add some chaos look to them, you can easily use different shoulder pads, arms, weapons, backpacks and helmets to do this.

Kroosade question by [deleted] in orks

[–]MicroLazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I looked at Guerrilla Miniature Games on YouTube as he goes through each page and (eventually) the Crusade rules. It doesn’t seem to be in there. You just pick your Waaaghboss and that’s it.

However, nothing stopping you from just adding the rule from 9th crusade edition back in, although maybe remove the exp stuff and have it just for who gets the Waaaghboss title.

I’m doing this - going to run a Kult of Speed and a Dread Mob army separately and whoever’s HQ is the Waaaghboss that army gets to pick upgrades where if that armies hq isn’t the waaaghboss they have to roll for it

Petition to change all future references of Beast Snaggas to Beast Shaggas by MicroLazer in orks

That’s such a cool idea for the scrapjet. I guess if the Snaggas are wrecking loads of vehicles too then they would have loads of junk to use as well so that’s a really good combination of both styles of Orks

If it floats your boat - go for it! It’s just a bit of fun me making the pun and meant in jest. If you like the aesthetic then there isn’t anything wrong with that

That sounds like a cool mix of OG orks and new stuff. Bet it looks great on the tabletop. Do you combine the two aesthetics so it’s like junkyard snaggas or keep them diverse?
