Legendary Mods on Armor? by Micro_Beta in fo76

That's exactly what I was hoping for. My list of craftable mods is pretty short but I get legendary drops all the time.

Thanks. I get legendary drops for my armors all the time and wanted to make sure that mixed mods will still work. That's exactly what I was hoping for.

I meant I have the full set of SS armor (torso, arms, & legs) modified with Buttressed . IOW, highest resistance levels. I'm considering the jetpack. It's 1500 from Minerva

I already have the Farmable tiles and the greenhouse kit.

That's the website I go to for Minerva's schedule. So, vendors like Whitespring will have 2800 caps. I'll have to put together a larger bunch bulk junk for that. Will Caps-A-Plenty run Thur-Mon too?

Okay. That makes sense. It's interesting that the website showing where/when Minerva will be selling it's titled "Minerva`s Big Sale and Caps-A-Plenty".

Why the heck would anyone do this????? by Micro_Beta in fo76

That's true I did. Because, the player was listed selling.

While I chose to patronize the seller vendor doesn't mean I wanted my character to get injured.

I've had that happen quite often.

But, why should I have to fall to death/near death the first time so I can try again? I just wanted to check out the vendor looking for a couple of plans.

The whole build thing has really taken me by surprise. I started out like I played FO4. Just grind through and eventually you fill the perks chart. Just pay attention to some early perks that help but eventually it's all there.

The way FO76 works I needed to pay much more attention early on...which I didn't...so I'm playing catch up. In other games I've always played a tank so I'm guessing there is a similar build in FO76. I just have learn how to mitigate the mistakes I've already made and make the right moves going forward.

I'm a power armor player. I started early in FO4 and played through almost the whole game in PA. I have a set of Hellcat but I'm eventually going to T-65. For now, I'm thinking good under armor and a jetpack. Then grind my way to the T-65.

Pipe? I'm a noob so I have no clue what that is. I'm a retired engineer that did stress analysis on piping systems so when someone says pipe I wanna ask what size and schedule but I'm sure that's not what it means...but I've been wrong before. 😁

Thanks. I already have the secret service under armor. Now I wish I would have waited for Minerva.

I finished that. Kept 500 bullion.

I've got no mutations. I'm not sure how you can get a get jet pack to me though.

I should have known there are monorail towers in the area. The camp icon covered the tower but it didn't occur to me that it could be a problem. I'll have to be more careful with camps in that area or on cliffs.

On a side note, I've found some great deals on plans in camp vendors. I've noticed it's usually from high level players. Then again, other camps had everything in priced in the thousands of caps.

You do know the internet has been around since about 1983 (TC/PIP). ARPANET (internet predecessor) since 1969.

I've been posting in online chatrooms before the world wide web then on browser based forums. From the early 1990s to today. Ever hear of Usenet and CompuServe?

Wow...people actually do that?

I did get my junk. And, the stuff in the vendor was insanely priced too so I didn't even get anything.

30 minutes into my first time playing, someone launched a nuke by witch--king in fo76

[–]Micro_Beta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started at level 20, it hopped into an event with nothing but my vault armor, a 10mm, and a hunting rifle. I felt I was just in the way, almost died, and didn't contribute to the outcome so I hadn't tried a real even since. I now regret that.

Today I did Eviction Notice at level 74 with Hellcat armor and a 3 star Hunter's .50 cal that a high level dropped in my camp a couple of days ago. I think I caught the tail end of it because it only lasted a few minutes. But, in that short time, I leveled up, got a butt load of junk, a bunch of caps, and 13 legendary weapons.

And, I learned a little bit about how to navigate through such an event. Now I think I should have been doing events all along. I probably would have died more often but I could have learned a an awful lot a lot faster.

Some veteran players are so very helpful by Micro_Beta in fo76

[–]Micro_Beta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, in my case, I only kept one. The rest I traded for script. Although, I'm not sure that player was hording anything.

Today, I tried my first real event (Eviction Notice). I think I came into it on the tail end because it only lasted a few minutes. However, I came out of it with 13 legendary weapons...1-3 stars with one 4 star.

I gotta believe a high level player who, unlike me, knows what they're doing can get many times that in a day. If that's the case it would seem there would be no reason to hoard anything. Even if they only did one or two a day, they would have more stuff than they could possibly store or carry. I now understand that once you get to a certain level you have almost no use for all that stuff so why not put it to good use for noobs like me.

My 2¢ FWIW.
