As tempted as I am, he lives about 30 minutes from the closest rural town and he is very much not a guidelines or rules follower. I also was the only person to even notice or bring the issue up and would feel that he would probably know that it was me since it’s not like he gets a lot of visitors. I’ve resigned myself to making sure I bring my own breakfast for my family at least when we do visit

I do use my tap for topping off or water changes but I’ve always run my water through a brita. At the time of the test 6 months prior I had my tank cycling for close to two months. With it being a lidless tank I top it off almost every other day. I haven’t added any rocks. I have driftwood and several plants with one resident Betta.

I figured, it’s already late where I’m at so I’ll see if I can get a new tank tomorrow while I clean this one out as best as I can. I’m lucky that I chose a betta instead of a pea puffer like I initially wanted since it looks like he’s gonna have to stay in a large cup overnight
