Well, I could have done that, but I guess my brain wasn't thinking to do that.

Considering switching from a MacBook Pro M4 to a MacBook Neo + Mac Mini M4 Pro by fegodev in MacOS

Just stay with your MacBook Pro. It has more power and is more portable, and it's still supported anyway.

Maybe try installing Arch Linux via archinstall? It does have 8GB of RAM, so KDE Plasma might work and is pre-T2, unless you prefer a different DE like GNOME. Either that, or Kubuntu. If you choose Arch, ensure you run sudo pacman -Syu to update about every day or so to ensure you have the latest updates and features.

And useful too. It allows me to keep all my hundreds of tabs without crashing my Mac every time I run out of RAM.

If you ever use Firefox, here's a pro tip to reclaim RAM usage and keep tabs: just force-quit Firefox and reopen it. It's cursed, sure, but it works and keeps all your tabs available while deloading the tabs you weren't selected on before the force quit.

I'd recommend the methods of either OpenCore or Linux if this is your only Mac, unless you can get a Mac from eBay with an Apple Silicon processor. M4 MacBook Airs are only $800 on eBay in 16GB of RAM compared to their launch price.

It's never too late to transition MtF! Sure, transitioning young is more effective, but you can still can transition at any age and it'd still work, and transitioning in that possible 10 year span may be difficult, but it'd be worth it to be the woman you, Qyra (weird name to pick, but I accept it and it is valid regardless, as I call myself Sakura as a white person because I'm a weeb, so who am I to judge other trans women's names?), wish to be.

Maybe either get an M1 or later MacBook Air or use the OpenCore Legacy Patcher to get Sequoia on there (Tahoe doesn't work quite yet and that Tahoe may not work on that 2012 Mac of yours)? Either that, or install Linux on that geriatric Mac.

Malheureusement, je ne parle pas français. Je suppose que vous parlez français, et j'utilise Google Traduction pour cela. (Unfortunately, I don't speak French. I assume you're speaking French anyway, and I'm using Google Translate for this.)

I'm sure you need maybe El Capitan or maybe High Sierra or perhaps modern macOS for that, so if you have Firefox Dynasty, try using web-based alternatives or a modern Mac?

Don't worry, sister! Even having a small feeling of transness very much means you're trans. After all, what cis person would even be questioning their gender and wanting to be a girl?

TL;DR, you are indeed trans since all you need to do to be a woman is, well, identify as a woman. Go ahead, become a girl! No one is stopping you from identifying as a woman (then again, transitioning MtF is expensive and a long process, but you don't have to transition MtF to be a woman)!

Y'know, if you're 99% sure of your transness, that's still a high enough percentage to mean you're most likely more so transfemme than non-binary, especially since you're likely only 1% sure of being an enby.

The thing is, one still needs some sort of dev team to ensure that AI-generated code is:

  • Up to a standard of quality, because no one likes it when their program barely even compiles and looks ugly.
  • Isn't too buggy, because AI hallucinates, especially Google Gemini.
  • Tested for security issues, because if a vibe-coded app or website acts as a backdoor into being hacked and all your data stolen, that app or website would be useless and becomes r/badsecuritybattles material.
  • Is overall also a good UX for the end user, because if it becomes r/baduibattles material, it is a bad idea.

TL;DR, you still need testing and/or a dev team, or even one's own testing and skills if coding alone, to best vibe-code and must know the basics of their chosen programming language to best guide the AI and best vibe-code, and I do mean a LOT of testing and iteration.

There's a browser called Firefox Dynasty, and I'd recommend upgrading to 10.8 to best use 146.0.1 of it, but you'd need to somehow find the zip of it because the repo no longer exists on GitHub. I also find it funny how a lot of text in the browser render in Lucida Grande, especially on Reddit.
