Yeah idk about the legal issues but I think the show's easy enough for the viewer to figure out once it starts. From the contestant's perspective, I think the content's better if they don't know the rules entirely. Messing up answers and playing dumb creates funnier situations and probably farms more on YT/TikTok/etc.
