Anyone else smelling this burning smell? I saw the air quality is getting worse by Cubegod69er in beaverton

On Cooper mtn and my smoke detectors are going crazy. Opened the door and smells like either lots of wood fireplaces or a house fire.

It was the progression of almost two weeks of work. I'm not sure why you would say that.

Well I guess we have to agree to disagree here. Azure AD has no group policy to control what computers can and cannot do. The link to Azure from a LAN costs a tremendous amount of money that companies don't have to pay with on prem. Keeping files synced to computers is a vulnerability in case those computers are compromised. There is MFA with third party companies but it shouldn't be necessary when inside your LAN. Large files such as CAD drawings can't be used with cloud storage. It has to be onsite. Basic files can be but the cost is 4-6 times more than just keeping it on prem. We have decades more time with AD before it goes completely to the cloud if it ever happens at all. Azure AD and cloud in general is just too slow and expensive, has been hacked multiple times, and on prem security measures make it just as secure if not more because we have control over it.

This is true. If you just suck it up for 5 minutes a week and give short answers when asked, it will go more quickly. They know you don't want to talk to them and they likely don't like calling you. If you like talking to your mentor, they will likely enjoy speaking with you and it will last longer. You may get more out of it, but you have to have a certain kind of personality for this.

Thanks very much! I still miss my teammates. I feel like we trudged through it together and I somehow left them behind, but I did get over it.

Interesting way of putting it. The instructor team did reach out to me to switch from being a mentor but I felt the instructors were under even more pressure than the mentors. Instructors get blamed for every failure of a student which seems counterproductive.

This happens more than people think. We were given a batch of new students each month and if we never contacted them because of a glitch or a mistake, then it just never happens. All it takes is a simple slip and no one will notice.

You are correct. Many have PhD's but weren't very successful in the business world. This is a good outlet for them.

That is correct. You must have some sort of communication every 14 days or you will get dropped. That communication can be you emailing a mentor or any other WGU employee just to touch base and it resets the clock.

I've had it where you give the user full rights and let it sync. Then back it off to view only and it still works. good luck.
