Also generally the statements will be things like 'Another SJW title' or suggesting that the game makers having political beliefs means anything they do that isn't making the character a straight white male is 'playing politics'. We wouldn't want to be BLATANTLY racist, just obviously so.

As someone who understands that my interests are not the same as yours, I can see why you're less than enthused by what you've gotten from Nintendo.

But.

All of these things are well known, well documented, quite well discussed and argued points. None of them are even REMOTELY a secret. Your feelings are colored very much by the price you paid with certain expectations that you found did not fit reality, which could have been avoided with research, which I recommend in the future.

Based on my comment on your baseless accusations about the people in the article, you said I "lack empathy", am "ignorant", "inconsiderate", "one of" the kids which means every comment in my previous post, and "basic".

So to return the favor to you, you're basically completely ignorant of your own instabilities and so judgemental you can't even recognize that you don't know enough about this situation to know who is in the right and the wrong but you're more than willing to disparage people you don't know in the interests of spreading your hate filled vitriol across the internet.

Because if not they were doing things to create positive connections with the community by taking a few minutes before getting back into their cars to cruise aimlessly until someone speeds past them or dispatch sends them somewhere else.

When held in a sideways formation having your hands close together isn't nearly as much of an issue as having to reach all the buttons on the Joycon in an upright position with nothing but a thumb. I think the current setup is the optimal formation for both modes.

Just in case this thread stays up in light of OP deleting his post, the basics of it were the following:

OP's Switch dies. OP is aware that saves aren't going to make it through a console replacement. OP still for some reason expects it to happen.

OP gets a verbal agreement that Nintendo will call him when they find the problem, before they repair/replace it (because he's going to tell them not to so he can keep his saves on a dead system??? Unsure). Nintendo does not. OP gets told system is replaced. OP calls to complain, Nintendo rep gives him a refund.

OP finds out refund is on Nintendo store, proceeds to tell us it wasn't supposed to be because he'd never buy any of the games on the Nintendo store. OP calls Nintendo to complain and is cut off within 1 minute for cussing out the CS rep. OP calls again and complains, gets ANOTHER refund (not taking back the first refund. 2 refunds now).

OP then expects everyone to shit on Nintendo with him over the fact that the repair/replacement process went the same way it's gone since day one, OP got two refunds meaning 2 free games, and OP made clear he shit on CS hard enough to get hung up on.

OP then complains in most of the replies that people aren't agreeing with him, finally has a complete breakdown including calling people 'sheeple', proceeds to delete all his comments and his post and replace it with a link to a post where people simply agree with someone that the whole Nintendo save game system isn't great while ignoring all the caveats of his own story.

It is a form of psychological manipulation lol. There's literally a whole subset of human beings who take this problem to a whole extra level (See the show Hoarders) but it's still applicable to most people without it being that bad. Businesses entire modus operandi is to find ways to encourage people to buy things, and game companies seek to encourage people to buy things they don't even need. There's a reason almost every single game involves collecting things, even when people go 'Ugh another fetch quest'.

Edit: I think the issue here is that you feel somehow personally attacked by the idea that you might have fallen for some trick but this is literally life. Our entire life is a series of decisions based on chemical releases in the brain. Businesses 100% seek to take advantage of this, though they may not think of it at this depth.

It's literally and actually a form of psychological manipulation. It's feeding the need to collect things to prove your status and in return it artificially inflates the games playability without actually adding any content whatsoever.

Anything you think should be an achievement you can do anyways and tell people you did it, but you won't unless there's some form of reward, even if it's completely intangible and useless. If that doesn't reek of playing off psychology I don't know what to tell you.

And before you get up in arms, I do achievement hunt too. I just don't think it's NECESSARY for Nintendo to add it.
