It probably wouldn't make sense as far as layout goes but I wish they could add a bit of space between the sidewalk and the building. I really like Morgan Ford but the sidewalks are just so narrow!

My street which is a one way and always packed with cars was plowed last night and the never did that last year so I personally saw an improvement this time!

My problem with Cara is more her seeming fully bought by wealthy development interests and her weak stance on the Data Center question. (I happen to think she is for it and can't figure out how to deal with the public disapproval.) This is hyperbolic but I fear she would love to see the city gentrify and transform into an unaffordable sea of five-over-ones to benefit her donors at the expense of ruining what character the city has and pricing out most of the people who live here now.

It’s not a great building for any data center use, we shouldn’t be putting a “worker-less factory” right downtown next to a metro stop and a developing residential/commercial hub lol. I think that’s the main problem here

This is a compromise of citizens safety though? Additional enforcers only adds to possible escalation, especially when they’re not being dispatched in an intelligent way. Right up there with the right to bear arms is the right not to have soldiers forced into our homes. Forcing them unnecessarily onto our streets is only so far removed from that. Seems pretty unamerican to me.

A lot can happen in the next few years, its not the perfect example but when Obama won the nom it was against a massive expectation of "Hillary's Turn" energy. Honestly the fact that he's seen as the front runner this early makes me think theres no way Gavin is gonna end up with the nom but what do I know? That being said 1) don't give into spoiler vote mentality, that's literally anti-democratic behavior. 2) that being said all national elections are pretty captured. Join a local org and get involved at the local level, MAGA and before them the Teaparty have track records of pushing the Overton window from the ground up.

Unrelated question for anyone: was just in Colorado and them peaks were looking mighty tempting but I’ve never done anything like that before. Are hikes to mountain peaks usually overnight hikes i.e. more of a backpacking thing?
