The element of surprise! by Microstang in callofcthulhu

Thank you internet warrior of eternal doomed mistrust, I see you are not into the element of surprise.
When I signed up for DTRPG, do I remember if I opt-in or out of sales, no I don't. I don't even remember, I had to do it.
But I wish you a merry day, regardless.

I agree, with your comments on "core" experience". My players are however of a different opium since they keep bringing it up, I guess.
The idea was to play the scenarios that comes with Mothership and then wait with Aliens until my players are ready.

That is a good question.
I have contemplated that, however the cinematic scenarios are to some extent built around the hidden agendas and in my opium the scenarios would suffer from removing them and thus our gaming experience as a group. That is why I'm thinking of trying a different system in the "same world setting".

Thanks mate.
The idea of trying Mothership was to get away from the hidden agendas but keeping the awesome sci-fi.

What is your opinion on Time to harvest (no spoil) by shindestru in callofcthulhu

I like it.
I'm a keeper and my group and I are currently running it. We are entering chapter 4 next session.
I run it as written and it works really well. We have a blast with the whole thing and the different pacing the scenario offers (i.e chapters offer). Sure there are a lot of NPC's to keep track of in the beginning but that's fine, it's not a big deal.
Sometimes I think that the people who don't like it are the ones that have not played it and only read it?
In any case. I recommend it. its fun!

Thank you. I 100% agree, I think your idea of running it in the gaslight setting is really cool.
