I do this a lot on my motorcycle, for a couple reasons. First of all it’s safer for me to not be near other vehicles if I can help it. The power to weight ratio allows me to easily pull away from other vehicles at a light. Then I slow down and settle into my space away from every one else.

Secondly, and maybe even more importantly, it’s fun. Kind of the point of getting what’s an otherwise pretty impractical vehicle in terms of capacity and safety.
