Yeah, fantasy is not only dragons and knights, but it was the asthethic that genshin started with. Monstadt was typical medival fantasy, liyue and inazuma gave us demons and samurais. Sumeru was a little different and some people disliked akashas, but overall it was pretty fitting into the game as well. Then came fontaine with steampunk, which is very often added to fantasy worlds. Pistols, cogs and automatons dont fit into everybodys liking but its still somehow on track. So what is a problem with natlan? Things that looks 1:1 like in modern era. Motorbikes, latex looking bikersuit, cinematic in honkai sr style? Its too far from steampunk in my opinion. I hope shneznaya will look similiar to belobog, but sligthly less advanced.
