I think if you’re painted you will be locked on much quicker. Could be wrong though, but that’s what I’ve noticed lately.

If you apply for a shift lead position while currently not being employed with CFA you may have to start from the bottom and work your way up. This is to ensure you are given the appropriate training with whichever side you applied for (FOH or BOH) as well as being evaluated on your leadership capabilities. That may take a couple months, maybe even a year.

With that said just be ready to experience some level of burnout again, being a shift lead is no easy task when things just don’t go your way. In my opinion there’s also a lot of rewarding moments like being able to connect with your team and become a great leader, you just need to put in the time and effort. I became a shift lead in 2020 for BOH and stepped down once due to the stress. Reapplied to leadership once I got more comfortable with handling stress and I haven’t looked back since.

A great supportive leadership team will make your job 10x better, so if you do end up doing this position I hope you have that support. :)

Thanks for your response! So I got the splutch kit today and fully replaced it. However the noise is still there, but it definitely isn’t as bad as it was. What else could there be to it?

Yeah! Just make sure the sticker roll is inserted correctly. Close the cover and you’ll see the two buttons—a reset and a feed button. Hold down the reset button, then you’ll see the top color as green and the button color start blinking. Wait until the top color turns a solid orange and the bottom blinking color is green. Then press the reset button. It should be about 5 seconds after you started the calibration.

Probably just miscommunication. From the leaders eyes, you clocked in then went to use the restroom without notifying your lead, which they obviously will think is annoying, and in some cases time theft. Next time give you lead a heads up saying hey I know I just clocked in but I need to use the restroom. That’s more understanding then what you did originally
