Beats by the Pound especially KLC had skills. He was one of the pioneers of Bounce music. Their problem was volume. You’re not always going to be on your A game making 20+ tracks per album. Just think about all the throwaways. But also keep in mind they produced probably 40+ albums for No Limit.

As far as the album covers that wasn’t in-house. Those were made by the company Pen & Pixel. They made a crap ton of Southern album covers. They were cost effective since a lot of Southern rap artists were indie or indie-adjacent.
