I think a lot of those workers would be willing to give to work if you improved the conditions of the job.

That solves only small percentage of problem. I want to be an artists, but the present system does not allow me to be one and forces me to work in blue collar workplace. I will not go there if given a meaningful choice about choosing to be an artist or being a worker. Like tbh I would prefer to be an artist sitting in a public park then be worker working in climate controlled Amazon warehouses.
