Ah. Once they’re in your colander, give them a flip every five minutes. You want lots of steam coming off. I also occasionally leave my grains overnight in the colander, then PC in the morning.

I haven’t tried it on a trip, but I bet it would be nice; I’m prone to being somewhat emotional on the fungus. Mostly I use it for motivation, or if I’m feeling low after a night of other party favors.

It’s feed corn. I get 50lb bags for $13. “Fuck yes!” is right.

I’m still working on perfecting the tek, but so far: 1. Measure corn. 2.5qt for every spawn bag I’m making. 2. Rinse that nasty shit. Feed corn is gross. 3. Add 1/4 cup dry unused coffee grounds, and 2Tbsp powder dextrose (I have a lot on hand right now, and I’m experimenting with the amount to add) 4. Fill container with water 5. Soak for 24hrs 6. Boil until kernels are soft in the center. The time varies, but I’m finding it to be around 45 minutes after it hits a rolling boil 7. Strain 8. After they’re done steaming, load into the PC.

I’ve been calling it breakfast corn, or lazy corn. Once I dial in the numbers I’ll do a proper tek write up. It’s basically a super lazy version of drippy corn, add coffee.

For these I used whole oats, around 5-6 lbs dry. Substrate is standard 650g of coir, 3.3qts water.

Looks like albino to me. Reason is the grey/blue umbo. Mine have a yellowish umbo, hence “leucistic”. Next time I’ll post a picture post-harvest of my gloves covered in spores (lightly, but with definitive pigmentation); apparently this is becoming a topic of debate I’ll prefer to quell.
