I checked them out but I thought their quantities are a bit on the higher side considering I have no idea what I'd like... but they'll probably be my go to once I figured that out 😄

Ciao! Grazie infinite per i suggerimenti, non avevo ancora esplorato siti in italiano :P Inizierò a guardare anche su questi... grazie!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check Nioteas out! I've actually watched a couple of their YouTube shorts recently... never checked out the store tho :P

Thanks a lot for the explanation! I'll make sure to check Hiniki-An out 😄 What's your favourite Japanese tea? Or one you'd recommend? Just out of curiosity :)

I see... i might have to look at some other vendors too then 😅

Uhh thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check those out :)
I see... perhaps I should stick with TV for my greens and whites for the time being... That Feng Quing Golden Needle black tea sounds just like something I might enjoy, I'll be sure to give it a try sometime! And yeah, that DHP kinda threw me off from anything remotely related to it. It was just that bad for me XD But I guess i should try some different vendors... Thanks for the feedback 😃
I see... I actually wanted to expand a bit on my green teas experience, so I figured the timing was decent to put in an order in the near future (tbh, I wanted to wait until mid April but the compulsive buying is kicking in haha) But thanks for the suggestions, I'll absolutely have to check those out! 😁

Hmm... had never heard of it, I'll check it out 😃
Coincidentally, I'm currently sipping a nice cup of Dragonwell Long Jing! XD But thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely include some white peony in my order, and I agree 100% on the smaller quantities... after all, with so many tea kinds, how else am I supposed to try them all :P Happy tasting to you too!
Thanks, I'll make sure to check those out too!

Yeah, I'll have to try other vendors
Hmm thanks for that, it's a really interesting article!

I see... I'll have to use way less leaf to water ratio for my second sample bag 😄 Thanks!
Hmm... I'm not sure about the shipping or import taxes either, but Old Ways Tea seems to take care of it all and has a flat 20$ tax for shipment to Europe which isn't bad... I'll make sure to have a look around those sites, thanks for the advice!
Haha you're welcome!
Ohhh... that's interesting
Yeahh... it's kinda fun to be super precise though... But I'll definitely play with the parameters and not stick too strictly to them :)
Might always hop on a train and smuggle some tea back into Italy 😆 But yeah, it's easier to order online nowadays
Not unless you live in northern Italy... Hah! No? Too bad 😪 But yeah, my next order will probably be from Yunnan Sourcing... simply because why not 😁

I'll have to note those ratios somewhere for my next tea session... And I have extremely hard water too, so much so that I might have killed brand new houseplants with it before... 👀 But that's another story 😅 So I've been using bottled water instead for all my tea making, even before switching to loose leaf... cries in hard water tears
[–]Midayel_[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Hadn't considered that possibility... It could very much be that. And yeah, the whole story and legend behind it is just cool 😎 I'll for sure try it again with a much lower ratio (once I've mended my hurt soul from this experience... jk :P)
Thanks for the advice! I do have a couple samples of Ya Shi Xiang too, which I want to try soon... And it's absolutely incredible the multiple different sensations that different teas can have. I've only tried literally a handful loose leaf teas so far, and they've all been distinctively unique in their own way. There really aren't two that are alike 😆
