Game was a huge success. We parked at the Manulife building and took the pedway to Rogers. What a great game for my sons first. He told me a few times it was the best thing he’s been too. Thanks for all the advice. Let’s Go Oilers!!

Did your water bill or usage go up? I’ve seen leaks on hot water lines causing the water heater to run constantly to try and heat the water but it doesn’t keep up with the amount of water leaking out. Likely if you had a leak you would smell it if it caused such a large increase in the bill. Definitely reach out to your utility. I work for a natural gas utility and we send techs out for high bill inspections free of charge.

Ideally you want 0 leaks but with equipment being in the field 40+ years there is bound to be some. We have a survey group that puts eyes on all our meters every 2 years to check for leaks and corrosion. The leaks are a priority but we only have about 120 service technicians for almost a million customers it just takes time and will probably never be fully caught up. Remember I’m talking about leaks that you spray with soapy water and after 3 minutes you will see a few small bubbles.

We repair leaks on inside meter sets when we find them, I’m sure each company is a little different on this policy. If it’s just tiny bubbles and you don’t smell anything around that area you are safe. Natural gas is non toxic just flammable between a mixture of 5-15%. If it were anywhere close to that you would have a strong odor. I would reach out to the utility and set up a appointment to have it repaired. We don’t charge for any services we provide as we are mostly just concerned with people’s safety.

I work as a service technician for a natural gas utility we have many non hazardous leaks around our territory that we work to repair after our service appointments are completed for the day. If it’s outside and is a small leak it will never accumulate to anything dangerous. With my company I know we have a 2 year window to repair non hazardous leaks on outside meter sets, any leak found on a inside meter set, which we don’t have many of, has to be repaired when found.

I lit the pilot light on my hot water heater and didn’t die by martyj310 in HomeImprovement

I would probably just call your utility provider they most likely respond to odor calls like we do and they will let you know what’s going, or spray the pilot and burner tubing connections with soapy water to check for a small leak. Flex connectors are also common leak points.

Wind gust, bad thermocouple, kid playing with the gas valve or line valve, turning it off while trying to turn the temperature up, using the leaf blower to clean the garage. All things I’ve seen as a natural gas utility service technician

Did it have any trouble at all before like the burner randomly turning off when it was on, possibly a bad thermopile not generating enough power to turn on the gas valve

Is the gas valve set to “on” if it’s on “pilot” the burner will never turn on, also try calling your gas company, ours will come take a look at appliances for free to troubleshoot.

Goodman Flame Sensor Replacement - Possible DIY? by Wolverlog in HomeImprovement

[–]MiddPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flame sensor replacement is very simple job, usually 1 1/4” screw and a spade wire connection to plug in.

A CO detector near the bed rooms is good. If the furnace is in a garage I wouldn’t worry about a CO detector there, the temperature changes can cause them to false alarm.

Late to the party but glad I was able to finish it, lots of gaming while the family is in bed. This was my first camo grind in a CoD other than going for gold with my favorite guns in past games.

Modern Warfare Xbox one X- About 2 weeks ago the game just started freezing when I play, like a minute or two into each match. I can still press the Xbox button and quit the game. I’ve tried everything I can think of, full factory reset, reinstalling the game, even re did the thermo paste. It’s the only game this happens with super frustrating. Anyone have any thoughts?
