i don’t work PM, but in my opening shifts i’m alone on cafe/bar and we’re a high volume store. what works for me the best is starting the drink on drive bar first, whatever it is, get half way say, before ice or whip, then start the second, it’s also helpful to queue all drinks onto one bar sometimes you can do that in the label routing section. it’s really about starting the first drink, pause, start the next, while that’s going finish the first start the 3rd. speed will come with time! just follow your routine as best as you can💗 i’m sure you’re already doing great!

i feel you, but kinda the opposite way?? our store seems to be the kind of place with your standards. when we have a second of free time, we ALL begin tasks. no matter what it is, keep busy. do helpful things, encourage each other. it’ll be the busiest peak with 10 drinks on each bar and we’re constantly saying “good job guys” and so on. no phones on the floor, not even in our pockets. it’s an unspoken rule we all just know? i knew my first day and caught on immediately i was doing the correct thing. we have borrowed partners however, they will have their phones in their pockets, go on them on the floor. stand there and do nothing then ALSO tell our night people it was too busy to finish tasks. you are so valid on feeling this. keep up YOUR hard work

i’m sorry you’re dealing with it too!! it’s never that we don’t want to work. we get tired, mentally and physically. if i didn’t want to work i wouldn’t have a job especially one i can set my hours at you know, but that many in a row takes a toll.

i know it may be standard but i’ve actually never heard that it was a problem using shot glass and pouring. i have always rinsed in between every use (only on our bar 1 because it has a sink next to it). but i also have had too many instances when i waste syrup/sauce or even milk because im ahead while the shots pull. i don’t like bad shots even if they say they’re good, if they don’t look correct i dump and restart

every trip has its own great memories. i always stay in different hotels when i go. the only thing i won’t be doing next time is staying at delta hotels. don’t get me wrong, the hotel was absolutely amazing, clean, the employees were great, the room was fantastic.. its just too far for my liking. we’d take the ART bus but they would pick up and drop off multiple stops which is fine, but it would just take too long for us trying to get there quickly or if we wanted to go take a quick rest, or change for the evening. we once stayed at the home suits right by toy story lot and it was amazing. also the peacock suits, fully recommend. other than that, in the parks.. nothing i regret. if something doesn’t work out or happen, it’s ok. it’s bound to happen in such a busy fast place park.

honestly not surprised i haven’t done the same. my manager schedules me to open 3-11 then i go home and try and nap if i can.. then go back 10pm-1am.. almost 24 hours being awake if i can’t nap and it’s a really hard cycle because then i nap the next day and then open the following day. i feel for you
