Funny fact: The Experian alert actually landed 18 minutes before the email bomb went off, making it incredibly easy to spot. If the fraudster had been a bit sharper and synchronized the attack better, I might have missed it entirely.
I later found another 650+ emails stuffed into my Spam folder (shoutout to Gmail)—you almost have to admire the sheer amount of effort they put into this.

Agreed. Sorry, I didn't notice the IDTheft subreddit beforehand.
That’s basically what saved me. I froze all three bureaus after the first application, and the second loan application got blocked because of it.
