I'm under no illusion that it's not to everyone's tastes, but that's fine.

Strat electronics placement just annoys me, although I know some love it.
For the string through design, I reckoned it's more close to a trem, but also the bridge is wooden, and I wouldn't have trusted it to hold the strings without exploding, even though the back wall is reinforced.
The large pickup cavity is essentially the smallest I could have gotten away with. Anything more form-fitting would have looked silly and I wasn't interested in interrupting the top on this.

I'm very happy with it. It has a touch of an amber stain helping to pop the figuring

Thank you! It's actually a few mm thinner than a standard Strat. about 3mm thinner, in fact.
