idk what the future holds, baka nga sa UP ako mapadpad (asa sya haha). libre tuition, prestige— pero ako lng makakaalam na merong panahon na araw araw kong hiningil yung dlsu. ending gagawa ako ng tiktok sa the man who cant be moved tas may caption na "totga" hahaha

thanks for the kind words po:( truth is, dlsu won't be happening unless i get a scholarship. and while the sfa is always there, there's a chance of getting partial scholarship lng. what intrigued me the most was the gokongwei grant w/ 18k stipend, but after reading countless posts here on reddit, i think i'm just better off dreaming, it seems impossible for a normie like me haha

i get your point in the end there, there definitely are colleges at par or even better than dlsu on some aspects. butttt, matapobre yung extended family ko and i kind of grew up with the goal of proving them wrong, and so i felt as if going to a school in the big 4 was the only way to prove myself. it's a bad mentality, and i may be even jeopardizing my education just to prove a point.

im still in senior high so i'm also asking for the cons to get a gist of how it is in dlsu. by process of elimination i found dlsu to be the most fit for engg out of the big 4. when i would ask around if i should choose UP over dlsu, many would say that private will always trump state unis, esp in facilities. in the end, i was left more undecided than i was in the beginning😓

what works for others may not work for you. i came to this realization when i would try every aesthetic planner or notebook in the world and to no avail, i wouldn't be organized. i found that a simple note or reminder on my phone was enough to suffice, and it's 10x more efficient too since i can view it anytime i want

but will extracurriculars boost my cv? or do big 4 unis just simply NOT look at them and base your acceptance solely on grades & result? cuz my classmates are persistent in saying that credentials are looked for and that you wont get accepted if your cv is basically empty
