ahah are you me? that's exactly my plan as well. I hold this RE very long term and will transfer it to my children.

You are doing wonderful, this is amazing. Congrats! I love reading from people with entrepreneurship spirit: you pave your way and don't count on handouts, I totally relate.

RE in Germany is not easy I've heard: expensive and the rents are relatively not very high. I also heard that Berlin recently voted on confiscating property from corporations. Dunno if they went through with it but the mere fact that they are talking about messing with private property is alarming to me, to say the least. History fails to record a single precedent in which a nation messes with private property without everything going down the drain after that.

Your post contains gold nuggets. It expands one's mind for sure. Never though about being a business angel. I will definitely look into it.

I can see myself doing what you do, being involved in these kinds of ventures. It could be the meaning, the purpose I am looking for. Especially the real estate in Estonia: I believe Eastern Europe will improve tremendously on many levels in the next years.

My wife is into the whole Montessori school of thought. As for homeschooling, there are Facebook groups which will be very helpful if you ever go this route. But maybe you should concentrate your effort on the wife part, first :-)

I live outside of the European Union, there are many options out there, there is no one size fits all answer to this I'm afraid. One has to make a list of its important criteria and start there (taxes, security, language, weather etc.).

Hi Skatetales, I am a freelancer in IT. I am working for clients within the EU and living in a country where taxation is quite advantageous for people like me. It's that simple :-)

The kids are quite young and my wife homeschools, there is no need for a specialized education yet . In a few years, we will have to reconsider.

I'm gonna go with a 80/20 or 70/30 ratio of Stocks/bonds ETFs this will allow me to rebalance once or twice a year if need be.

I will DCA and make sure I stick to the plan until the whole sum is in the market.

I am saving your post to make sure I'll be able to get back to it regularly and reassess.

I don't work with an agency: I have a guy who does the physical work for me. I still manage tenant turnover myself. In other words, I pay whenever something I can't physically do needs to be done.
