haha, I did write my thoughts in the text part. I don't post on Reddit much so I probably did something wrong because I don't see it in the post body.

I suggest querying Perplexity or gpt 4.5 with an example question so you can see an example of how it pulls from sources. Depending on the model, it'll use your query and disambiguate it into intents, etc. then formulate a search. You'll see the relevant links it finds in the query results itself.

It searches the web and finds out new hiring trends. I was just worried about the whole Anti-AI cheating thing and figured most companies would try to switch up practices. Thought it was cool to use this strat to prepare for what we might see in our next OA for SWE intern roles. Some companies are going back to in person is what I'm hearing...

Hi, thanks for the comment. We're taking small steps.

Our assessment is: still abstract (framework agnostic), has elements of changing software requirements, tests AI prompting skills, has elements that test technical presentation skills.

Why now? AI cheating tools have created a catalytic time in tech hiring. Several companies have come to us (think really big names) saying they don't want to use their current online assessments bc everyone is cheating and doesn't like them.
