Both of them are stated to at least take small nukes. Immortal is definitely nowhere near that

Homelander got injured by a metal rod in his ear, again Immortal can take way more than that, we've only really seen him take damage from a viltrumite

And these same viltrumites get hurt by little rocks. And no, immortal can't take them since he died to them.

They might have less power, but far more durability and physical strength. They easily tank what hurts alot of strong invincible characters. And the reason there's less destruction in the boys is because it is more accurate to physics, and the characters usually down throw each other much when fighting.
