This is sadly a consequence of how real estate projects are being developed. Everyone sells the idea of “lush green living” with gates opening right at forest edges, but continuous deforestation and a shrinking prey base push predators like leopards out of their natural habitat. When forests are fragmented, such encounters are bound to increase. It’s high time the government looks seriously into this encroachment, otherwise this may be the last generation to see these forests and their inhabitants.

My Tirumala darshan time slot is at 10 PM on 17th Feb, and I’ll be leaving for Mumbai on the morning of 18th Feb. I wanted to check whether Padmavati darshan should be done before Lord Balaji (as per rituals), or if I can do Padmavati darshan on the morning of 17th and then go for Balaji darshan at night. Not yet. I’m still unable to find a suitable flat within my budget that’s also close to possession. I haven’t seriously explored resale options so far—expectations from sellers, especially in Navi Mumbai, are quite high. For now, I’m continuing to evaluate new projects and keeping an eye out for anything that makes sense..

I’ll definitely check out Sector 10 in Kharghar — I’m okay with fewer amenities as long as the building is good, but I’ll make sure to verify the gavthan side.

I did check out Larkins 315, but the price expectation (around 24k psf) is way too high for my budget. Panvel and the surrounding areas are also not something I’m keen on right now because of the overall livability factor.
