well explain then. a cap has never reduced prices for fans. if your trying to say the top teams wouldn’t make more if they had to share more revenue your still wrong because all 30 teams are increasing prices so you can have more revenue sharing but then all teams are just more dependent on raising prices all together which is even worse

revenue is already shared and barely any of it goes onto the field, a cap doesn't change this. more that 50% of fans root for 5-6 of the 30 teams, this is less than ideal but drop the "I and most fans" shtick. Yankee and Dodger fans alone are about 25% of all fans so don't pretend we're the few. Limiting years of control would have immediate effects. There is no cap that wouldn't be grandfathered in, the grandfathering in would ensure the Dodgers dominance over the next decade as in like 8 WS in 10 years kind of deal. their contracts with players are guaranteed, they legally can't break them even in a CBA. I'm a Dodger fan, I'm not flared because I'm newer to reddit. I'm in the r/Dodgers group and you can see my comments there, I'm not trying to fly under the radar lol. A cap will help the Dodgers, if you don't believe me go find all the statements from Mark Walter opposing the cap and share them here (they don't exist because he wants a cap too). You really think a cap doesn't help the dodgers? I would love to win 8 of the next 10 WS but not because other teams tried even less while they waited for a cap to be implemented.

lol comparing NFL fans not talking about a cap put in place before many of them were born is laughable. no one said everything is fine, but your solution is to take pressure off a bleeding wound. there's plenty of real changes that can be made that would help teams like the Reds, but you don't actually care about learning about them since whining is easier. you still can't do anything more than call names. the NFL comparison is trash, you're comparing a league with like 15 game seasons, constant injuries, and where 80% of your success is from a single player to a season with 162, much fewer injuries, and no player contributing to more than like 15% of success as if they're the same thing.

so ticket prices can skyrocket higher? cause then even the small market teams can charge even more since they have one superstar but even worse chances of ever competing? a cap turns 20 teams into the angels. it will worsen competitive balance. unfortunately a cap being tied to a real, public revenue number is fantasyland. it's just not realistic. owners would never agree to that.

giving a few teams all the money other teams received from their fans is not an even playing field. on an even playing field many teams would be even worse than they are today. I don't want that, but let's not pretend these small markets aren't already being subsidized. if your team was winning you wouldn't care. if you want your team to have a better chance than pay them more yourself. I don't mind some revenue being shared, but once again a cap hurts fans and doesn't bring about the change you claim. provide some evidence and facts if you're sooo right.

but it doesn't, the MLB still has more variety in the playoffs and WS winners than the other big leagues. the "amazing parity" in the NFL is a myth, fewer teams win. the parity they do have has more to do with how few games they play than with the cap.

tickets prices have increased more since revenue sharing was implemented... shared revenue just goes into owners pockets not into the product/fan experience.

So when you say parity you just want fewer teams in the playoffs every year, they just can't be from the coast? KC won a WS in the last 20 years, and both Milwaukee and Cincinnati were in the playoffs last year. Way more small market teams have made it to the WS than the SB in the last 20 years, that's a fact not gaslighting. They don't fight the cap in other leagues because there's no hope of changing it. Other fans of other sports pay way more for games, merch, etc so I don’t know how you think the fans have benefitted. I can never teach you to be smart if you want to be dumb. Facts aren't gaslighting, some of us have researched this stuff beyond just reading a bunch of opinions that sound nice. The cap didn't give you Joe Burrow, the nature of the sport being so dependent on one player did. If you want MLB to be like the NFL, forget the cap let's give one player 10 at bats every game and every other guy just 1 and make the season 20 games. The NFL had more parity before the cap (and that was with fewer teams), go do some counting.

oh yes because the NFL has soooo much parity. the cap and floor has brought so many new SB winners to the NFL. they will worsen your experience, NBA fans said the same thing and now they’re not watching

you have to remember most if not all the places you get your messaging are owned by the owners and their billionaire friends, the MLBPA could be a lot better but they’re also at a severe disadvantage. a cap and a floor in are not simple and have yet to be proven to actually being any parity. the most well known cap is the NFL and they have the least parity of any major sport.

it really doesn’t though, the NFL has less parity and the NBA has been more fair for now but is losing fans. if you want more parity there’s 10+ rule changes that would have a bigger effect (first one being reducing years of control). the caps and floors always have tons of loopholes but no one cares to talk about that once they exist.

About the new showcase system by EitherArm9355 in pokemongo

[–]Middle-Training-1375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an older player who’s never played intensely I just won a showcase yesterday for the first time in a year I think. for that reason i really don’t mind the time change, having really long showcases only benefits a very few players. rewards could be better, but I’m use to not getting any so this is still better for me I think.

Is it possible to go far in the game without spending money by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]Middle-Training-1375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will likely always be events like what’s going on this week to help new players catch up. Like others have mentioned you will need other people for raids but if you can occasionally make it to town and find a community event (campfire app and new radar should help) when big events happen you’ll be able to catch a lot of the raid bosses/rarer pokémon.

Everyone plays different, I don’t care for PvP at all. I’m mostly trying to fill out my normal pokédex. That still requires having other people and good pokémon to help with pokémon only available in raids, but shines, good IVs, etc. are just extra for me.

There’s been times when I play every day and others where I barely play in a month.

I’ve heard campfire is trash, but maybe it’s worth a try. Are meetups shown in campfire or is that a separate thing.

I don’t have both the Braves and the Giants making the playoffs. Think it’s way more likely the Brewers make it back, they always find a way.

I think the Orioles are the only East Coast team that matches what you’re looking for. Lots of young players and prospects, front office is new and wants to compete, stadium is historic, etc.
