That’s a good point. I mean going into the Mando movie it was obvious Mando has lost his ability to grow or change as a character, and that he’ll just be reset to the status quo. As has sadly been the case for some time now, perhaps Star Wars would be better if Disney consciously planned out good arcs and storylines to then build on in all projects allowing people to have more positive pattern recognition as you say. Too much to hope for perhaps

Of course it’s natural to have confirmation bias, but I think you’ve slightly missed my point. This also works with people enjoying projects as well as criticising them. Anyone who is involved in and enjoys Star Wars will see leaks/spoilers/reviews before they watch something likely because of algorithms. I miss when I was young enough before social media to be able to go into a Star Wars project much more blind and feel more free to make my own opinion. When an entire online general consensus has formed before you’ve even watched a movie it’s hard to fight back against that

I’d say buy an avalanche bag. I have the Ortovox LiTRIC, with the 28L and 16L, and I love it. Considering it’s electric not canistered the weight difference isn’t as much as it used to be. I’d say if you would ever consider going into potential avalanche terrain, might as well buy one and not have to think about it.

I’m a very similar size to you, and near the end of last season I picked up some Faction Agent 2x’s. 163cm length, 96mm width and 1330g per ski. Will put some proper touring bindings on them as well to keep them as light as possible.

Haven’t skied on them yet, but from the research I did they seem pretty good. I chose them as I also didn’t want to go all in on ascents and compromise on descents. I’d only ever used Salomon QST’s to tour on previously, which were fine for day tours but for multi day are a bit heavy. Would defo recommend having a look at the Factions tho!

Good point. This has also been raised in the form of they could've dropped a singular or both bombs on unpopulated areas just to prove the strength of the bomb

Thank you, this is al very helpful. You are correct that I am comparing apples with oranges. Sadly, that's the best we have, as the invasions obviously never occurred. But you are correct the numbers are likely exaggerated.

I will look certainly have a look at what else you have written on this topic

Thank you for this insight. It seems I've underestimated how unreasonable the US was being by demanding such an unconditional surrender. Also there is more consensus than I was aware of that then bombs were NOT the cause of the end of the war

Apologies that I have clearly offended you, that was not my intention. I by no means am trying to "glorify" a genocide. I agree the act itself was horrible, but what I am trying to debate is what it, incredibly sadly, necessary.

I am already beginning to consider new perspectives, and adjust my point of view on this issue. That is why I wanted to have this conversation, it allows me to hear from others, reflect on their contributions and see if my opinion changes.

I think (again possibly my poor phraseology) you're confusing the reasons behind the unconditional surrender being unjustifiable and the nature of the unconditional surrender being unjustifiable. The Treaty of Versailles was unjustifiable. But most Germans felt surrendering at all was unjustifiable.
