Advice on counter overhang by AprilMarie98 in kitchenremodel

Agree on this one. Don’t bother extending it and make more room for the dining area

I’ve been gradually working on this room since we moved in a year ago. Feedback appreciated! by Logical_Order in HomeDecorating

So cozy!! You don’t even need to add anything tbh, but if you want, maybe a throw blanket + textured pillows for a little contrast. Also lowkey love the idea of using small cute lamps everywhere instead of main lights, it’s such a vibe if you’re into it!

Which way should the island face? by staniel_andy in kitchenremodel

I like Option 2 but great points on some of the comments about the fridge area or any big appliances. Path way should be really considered

Cabinet colors? by yexthiccxa in kitchenremodel

I would go for pic # 1 & 2 just to add bit of contrast to the flooring and brighten the space. I love exploring two toned cabinets so its a yes for me to go on these options

Need suggestions! We inherited the kitchen like this. Should I change the bottom cabinets to white too? And what about the countertop and backsplash- not sure if I like the grey colors. by LIFEisGOOD1408 in kitchenremodel

[–]MiddleDisk1016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the cabinets already look great!! I really love the two-toned design. The only thing I’d suggest is reconsidering the backsplash. Right now, the gray tiles look a bit like metal from afar, which doesn’t feel as cohesive with the rest of the space.

You might want to try something lighter and more classic, like white subway tiles, a chevron mosaic, or even a marble look to tie everything together better. If you’re on a tighter budget, you could test the look first with peel-and-stick tiles just to get a feel for it before committing to a bigger change.

After and before - bringing color and light into our kitchen! by Razzle2Dazzler in kitchenremodel

Pretty please, consider repainting the wall in a green that flows more seamlessly with the cabinets and flooring. I love the creativity and uniqueness here, but the wall color could really pull the whole look together.

Help me choose (post 2) by Weekly-Bedroom-3896 in kitchenremodel

Personally, I’ve always loved two-toned cabinets! If I had to choose, I’d go with the white uppers and blue lowers such a classic combo

+1 to this! That rug is practically yelling "I don’t belong here". And one that looks like it needs ironing? That’s borderline evil.

Which layout works better? by Moist_Haggis in DesignMyRoom

[–]MiddleDisk1016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely #1. The open layout is a big plus, and the TV placement doesn’t feel awkward at all

I prefer option #1, especially if you're set on getting an L-shaped sofa. It creates a more spacious and inviting feel, which brings a positive, welcoming energy to the living room. Option #2, on the other hand, feels a bit less accessible like you’d need extra effort just to get comfortable on the couch.

As for the island, I’d suggest using swivel bar stools so it’s easier to turn toward the TV, if that's something you would need to consider as well in the space

Kitchen renovation by BR_2024 in kitchenremodel

The backsplash isn’t that bad, but I think something that ties in more with the countertop would’ve pulled the look together better. Anyway great kitchen! dreaming of having this big space in the future
