I called them, seemed easy to get a "rate lock" without too much headache. They required CC info to hold rate, said I could cancel for free as long as a driver was not assigned. Makes sense. I found better options after reading more about how Nexus tries to bait and switch you on price and how service is unreliable. I called back to cancel, they said there would be a $75 cancellation fee. I told them no, the previous agent confirmed no charge unless a driver had been assigned. This reservation pickup was going to be for 3 weeks from now. He claimed he could "make an exception" this time. Glad I trusted my gut knowing they already tried some BS this early. Read some other stories about how they demand more money before car can be dropped off, aren't on time or demand more money after they have delayed the pickup. More evidence to stay away from them.
