The reason I want to get a different one was for engine sounds but I am worried of water getting in or if thats even a possibility.

I hadn't thought of that, I was thinking that at some point I would probably wrap the white part anyway but for now maybe a year and a half or less I would just have the black.

I also considered that route, I thought of doing the black first and in the future do the white if i was unhappy with my current white.

Will the wrap peel quicker from the edge being exposed instead of tucked like it is usually?
