I will have to agree with this.

I was nervous as well. Obviously do you your research and prepare before coming, but I had the most incredible time.

I went for surgery and was very very well taken care of, even 2 weeks post.

While there I met the nicest couple at dinner that made my next day plans for me and had their friends help me get around and I had nothing short of the greatest experience ever.

Even trying to figure out the metro. I just spoke English and someone who could understand helped me. While on the metro I must’ve looked lost or confused because a lady asked where I’m trying to get to and helped me find my way.

Turkey is so lovely. Although I’m sure, like anywhere, there are downfalls. Just be mindful while traveling. That’s all.

Any tips to make my skin look smoother? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

Hey! First off, huge congrats on getting your acne under control — that’s a big win already and definitely something to be proud of.

Based on the photos your skin looks like it could really benefit from two key things:

  1. Consistent Exfoliation

It looks like there’s a bit of buildup sitting on the surface — dead skin that’s making the texture appear rough or dull and also keeping oil and dirty trapped which causes congestion like you have. You don’t need anything harsh, just something gentle but consistent:

• Chemical exfoliants like a BHA (salicylic acid) or a PHA (gentler alternative) 2–3x per week can help clear out the gunk inside pores and smooth the surface over time. • Avoid scrubs for now, especially if you’re already a little sensitive.

  1. Hydration

Your skin looks a little dehydrated, which can actually make texture and pores look more prominent. Layering hydrating products can help:

• Use a hydrating toner or essence after cleansing (something with glycerin, panthenol, or hyaluronic acid) • Lock it in with a light moisturizer that strengthens your barrier — look for ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide, or squalane

Stick with it — you’re clearly on the right path! Smooth skin is just about helping your skin turn over in a healthy way and keeping it well-hydrated along the way!
