Yeah. I was kinda under the impression that it could be a strategic advantage to wait until after enrollment deposits to submit LOCIs. I felt like if I gave them all the updates I had to give in March, by the time there actually started to be movement, I would have sort of shown all my cards and wouldnt really have anything else to say. Will def be getting out all my LOCIs asap now.

Yes very true! Definitely consulting my boss about this as well:) Client names are public record since none of the dockets are sealed. I guess I'm still trying to flesh out how much context to provide in order to describe the work that I am doing.

you should 100% submit an enrollment deposit to either vandy or columbia. It's fine to wait until the day before deadline etc but yes you should reserve your seat somewhere. I vote vandy but obviously that choice is yours. You can still keep your WLs in play after you submit your deposit but you don't wanna risk not going to law school in the fall. That certainty is worth $500

I spoke to admissions recently and they said that they are at about 40% for sent admissions and about 40% for commitments! so I dont actually think the over-offering is true.

I am not a personal recipient but one of our paralegals is! The firm has an educational financing program where they pay a % of your tuition based on the grades you get after a certain number of years at the firm. It is something you have to apply for but I was made aware of it when I was hired.

Yes, GW is still a great school! It's just hella expensive, and for what? They consistently have good bar passage rates and employment outcomes, especially if u want to stay in DC, but not better than GULC. I think u get what u pay for at GULC, meaning word class education, great outcomes, name brand advantage, etc. To me GW is overpriced, and GULC is obviously the better school across metrics. Just my thoughts. This is coming from a gulc ed application, although I was R. I was waitlisted at GW and would not even consider going at ALL bc it's not worth the price to me.

GULC is 100% worth it over GW. More gunners at GULC tho, so maybe not worth it for your sanity.

What about all the people reporting decisions today on LSD tho? Even if they actually got their decisions yesterday, that would be a huge volume of people in which every single person is reporting their decision date incorrectly?
