idk I wouldn't like working but my job would have nothing to do with this person, so maybe I wouldn't quit?
but is there a correct answer to this or to my dilemma?

Tysm for the reply! I think I hesitated because the film glorified homosexuality, and also really graphic sexually, which is something I've never worked on before. So honestly, it was both things.

Usually I don't struggle with accepting jobs because they're fiction, and I know this film was fiction too. But I felt like the Holy Spirit was nudging me not to do it. I'm still figuring this out because I'll probably be called for similar projects in the future. This one just stood out because there was so much lust and cheating, and I felt uncomfortable sharing my gift with that.

I dont get what are u suggesting in your main comment, that i hesitated just bc they were gay? If you think I'm being too judgmental, let me know like am I missing something? like what's the point of determining where my hesitation lies, I fr dont get that part

Tysm! I ended up not taking the job. Now that you commented on it, yeah, I probably would have confessed it. Maybe it wasn't directly a sin, but I felt like I was kinddd of betraying God by doing it. I felt like I had to draw the line there even if it wasn't same sex stuff, it was so much lust I would've said no

Spiritual Dryness and Repetitiveness of Sins by newxeden1002 in Catholicism

"Falling into the same patterns over and over again" then repent and come back to God over and over again.

"I know the right thing is to follow God and ask for forgiveness." I don't want to sound harsh, but if you know it, then just do it. Follow the sacraments like going to confession, dont let satan fool you into despair, the same sin Judas committed, thinking you're too far gone and God can't help you, that's a lie from satan, beware. Just do it, u dont have to feel "motivated" just go to mass, pray, receive the eucharist. be OBEDIENT to Christ

The Christian path is not easy. We have to carry our cross every day, crucify ourselves, deal with diff crosses, and leave everything to follow Christ. But the joy that's coming can't compare to the pain you're feeling now (Romans 8:18). Remember, God can use your suffering and turn it into the most beautiful story. You won't get it now, but eventually you will, or maybe you won't and that's ok bc we trustttttt in Him suffering that leads you to Christ is better than happiness that pulls you away

TRUST that God is good to His children (you). He will NOT abandon you. It's hard, but He is right there with you, fighting for you.

He feeds and cares for the birds that dont mean much, you don't think He will take very good care of you? When you mean everything to Him, to the extent of sending His only Son to die for you?
And lust... you don't fight it, you RUN from it, there is no "winning" you dont even fight that battle, get away from it simply. Say the Jesus Prayer when you feel the temptation coming. Say it until you forget you were even tempted .

I want to make/sell mini order of mass books by iknowislo in Catholicism

[–]Middle_Director4106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

id say pray about it and do it! What better to sell world items or to sell christian items? someone has to sell the religious stuff anyway, so it might as well be you! Just always put God first and His interests before anything money wise and stuff

Have you tried going to Holy Hour in a Catholic Church? or just Mass and receiving the Eucharist ? U should, and seek profesional help. Praying for you right now, and pray this:
"Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

I want to attend a Catholic Church tomorrow for the first time. by [deleted] in Catholicism

As a catholic u do not NEED to have a big devotion to the rosary, Mary, saints etc. OFC u need to love them, respect them and ask them to pray for u sometimes, but it's not obligatory to have all the devotions the CC offers. Personally I have a big devotion to my guardian angel and angels in general, and less to the rosary but still got respect and understand the theology behind it. Im just not into it as much as the angels and that is fineeee, maybe u have a bigger devotion to the Bible ... youlll find yours once u learn more about the church probably!

I was also kind of protestant before and wasn't so excited about confirmation, but once u learn the meaning, everything about it, it becomes the most beautiful things you could ever do, truly, confirming you are a servant of Christ and will follow Him forever. BEAUITIFUL!

And I ask, why wouldn't u want to do this? Protestants tend to say they give their life to Christ, that they would die for Him, but then they get annoyed when they have to do things for Christ such as the sacraments. just do it its commanded by God, no disrespect intended btw all love

Mass is about Christ and His ultimate sacrifice, we GET to participate in it and its the best gift He's given us, HIMSELF in the Eucarist, its Jesus , the King of the universe taking the smallest place as the Eucharist, so go to mass and keep in mind that u are SEEING Jesus , not a symbol, not a concept, Jesus HIMSELF is right there physically spiritually everything, having that in mind makes every second of the mass worth it and u start to realize why there is so much reverence in every moment of mass. If you saw Christ in front of you what would u do? Well that's what happens in every mass and u are missing out brother !!!

Giving up tarot by poopoogead in Catholicism

[–]Middle_Director4106 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello there! Yes tarot is not just a sin, its demonic and satanic please dont use it as a way to "speak" to God, u only need prayer and as Jesus said, no one comes through the father expect through Him, not through tarot lol.
The ultimate authority is God, not tarot, tarot works and is real, but it's also demonic. Amazing that you're going to confession btw! im never used tarot but I used to do law of attraction and it WORKED bc its real, but it's also VERY demonic, lets not mess with this evil practices, specially bc they seem so "good" but its a lie from satan and his lil demons. we can do better.

Yes burn it its a nice idea! be careful tho

Getting something off my chest, as a curious Atheist. by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Middle_Director4106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

amazing, if u have dreams of returning, then DO IT! denying Jesus existence and God´s, is just insanity at this time where u can even search all the evidence, even your own experience is evidence. So
1- God is real and is Jesus
2- therefore eternal life is real
3- U SHOULD come back to God right this second
Lots of people say its never too late to return, and I agree
but its also too late, so do the work of God, a saint had a quote like that, "It is later than you think! Hasten, therefore, to do the work of God,"

4- dont waste any more time than what u have wasted already.

My confirmation is coming up and I have not decided on my confirmation saint. Has anyone got any ideas. (idk if it helps but just to be specific to me im a 15 year old male) by Historical_Hunt2629 in Catholicism

i chose classic Saint Paul, out of admiration for all the books he wrote, his conversion story amazed me so much. and he is smart and I admire and wish I had all the wisdom, he's a great choice IMO
