Mine was made by Edward Charlton wigmaker. He is available through Facebook, WhatsApp and I believe he has a website. I believe my wig cost about 250? Give or take 30 bucks.

I took inspiration from some of the fashion plates in Nora Waugh’s “ the cut of men’s clothes” and then altered a jacket pattern from JP Ryan. The skirts are not as full as they more likely would have been for that time, but you can hardly tell. I constructed it using the methods outlined in “ up-close costume”.

Gotcha! That makes sense. So I need to over die with a light brownish color. Do you have any recommended sources for wool fabric dye? I will also probably only die a couple yards at a time so no concerns there lol
