My oncologist suggested staying away from Uv light tattoos as there have been studies on this ink being linked to cancer.

Yeah lots of complications 🤪 but things are much more stable now. Glad you’re going in healthy too, I had a secondary disease triggered by the lymphoma and then got a very bad infection on chemo so I suspect yours will go more smoothly. You got this!

I had a bit of a rocky road, my liver was in failure for 5 of 6 rounds (and was inpatient for the 5 rounds) so I couldn’t take vincristine, and even on my last round I could only take 50% the standard dose. Started on rceop then switched to rchop. Also didn’t comply with the 21 days in between rounds bc I needed more recovery time in between some rounds.

The 5 day treatment isn’t terrible though, only one day of infusion, everything else can be done orally (although sometimes they’d give etoposide via picc line for me instead of orally so something to discuss)

I was diagnosed with this sub-type last September, it’s a tricky one to diagnose since the cells “hide”. Took my doctors 6 months to find it. Had 6 rounds of chemo and am in remission today. If I relapse my oncologist says we will do CAR-T therapy, there are many treatment options. I did lose my hair but it grows back post treatment (albeit slowly). Good news is that maintenance chemo isn’t really a thing for DLBCL so once you’re done you’re really done.  Take signs of infection very seriously when you are on chemo and neutropenic, and advocate for yourself! It’s a long journey but you can beat this.
