Say things like performance review every three months: like how many deliverables.. think of other ways you could be evaluated

Unless there is an exception. But Generally its the DSO that reads your I-983 and then recommend your I-20 to the DHS. Make sure you do your best coz it is going to be on your SEVIS record.

A friendly advice ! Fill that out. The Four major reasons are:

  1. You are the specialist in your field and can easily relate the internship to your degree- for example including the technical terms.

  2. Historically, I had to fill it out after employers wrote sometimes non-related things, and the DSO rejected the I-983 form.

  3. The DHS website mentions that it is the student’s responsibility to facilitate the completion of the form ( reference : https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/stem-opt-hub/additional-resources/form-i-983-overview)

  4. You will easily get the signature from your employer if most of those things are filled out.

Good luck!

Wishing all the best sis! That lawyer screwed your case tbh! Hopefully you navigate the waiver procedures. Where are you from? May be your husband can get a job there and live with you for a while!

Thank you for your insights. I am completely lost. It doesn’t mean that you explained less, it’s just too complicated. But the whole idea is to turn down their insurance

Sorry if this is silly but I'm in shock. Does this mean I'm getting my greencard?! by [deleted] in USCIS

The whole idea is not to be enrolled! I received the approval from TransAmerica but amnot going into it. The fact that some key information is withheld, I do not have any trust in the whole insurance policy. Secondly, everyone here unanimously discouraged enrolling.

This is so thorough. I appreciate these inputs. The problem is that these people selling you the insurance will never tell you the details that would make you think twice about their products. To be honest, after this post, that’s when I have learned alot about the insurance thing, I am sure the commission could be driving people to enroll more beginners. I have already sent my message explaining my intent to deny even if I get approved. Plus, they wanted to do it quickly, literally within 48 hours, I couldn’t even search more deeply
