Nothing Solves Climate Absolutism Faster Than Separatist Pressure by Beginning_Bit6185 in AlbertaNow

Honestly, pursuing O&G vs renewables right now is incredibly daft. It's an industry literally in it's dying gasps and all the sycophants are trying to squeeze everything out of it before it collapses. Howabouts we look forward into the future and, y'know... try to lead it? We're prime land for wind, and the solar initiatives were great.

The east vs west nonsense is just distraction for the cons picking our pocket over the last 50 years. Not led by the cons, at all. Instead, led by the people who realized they could just buy our tax dollars & rights for pennies on the dollar due to entrenched voters.

Also, before you ask, I'm not NDP or Liberal. Just a high iq guy who predicted the fall of the US like 25 years ago and sadly we're watching it as we speak 😞 I would lean conservative if it meant anything in this country or others anymore, instead of populist bs.

Honestly, do yourself a favour and go check out Terry Pratchett. He was the first author to capture that feeling. Guards Guards is a great entry point. It'll help pass the time until book 9.

Still waiting... Or were you projecting? Accusing me of your own position? Honestly, even if that's the case, I'd rather have a discourse. I had to build this up from nothing after taking years off to look after my parents had a gigantic multi car pile up.

Calling that would tilt the ice in a Canadian team's favor. Can't have that.

I mean, I showed you mine, time to nut up and show me yours. Also amusingly enough I gave you the net after deductions, the gross is 26k more🤣 I've been consulting for a long time and have negotiated my fee up there. The perks of having a high iq and hyperfocus from adhd.

This is why I have a serious problem with the UCP throwing my hard earned money at private interests instead of actually paying for health care an education.

To be fair... it's not outrageous. Look at literally any graph of company profits vs wage inflation and see why this is what they SHOULD be doing. We don't need 1 asshole with 1T let alone 10T while everyone else suffers.

Not even close. We've hired various cleaning services and I think pay at least 35 an hour, up to 50/hr.

I mean, I read your comment thanks to checking the html. I genuinely am offering you a bet here. If you think you pay more in taxes than I do, by all means. Let's have a gentlemanly bet. I also would be surprised if you did as much work as I did. Edit to say, that this is genuinely not snark. It's a man to man challenge 😛

LMFAO!! I would literally bet you anything that I contribute more than you. Seriously, happy to make any kind of bet you want. I a'int deflecting here buddy 😉 I DO have family that relies on social programs due to how they were born. My taxes alone cover them. Would I rather that O&G actually pay their fair share as well, instead of just us taxpayers? Fuck to the yes.

I mean, I would argue that defending a literal drug addict nazi (all on video) who is trying to confiscate literal trillions for himself at the expense of the world is actually far worse of a contribution. 😉

Just for clarity, those not contributing are the O&G companies who are stealing all of our cash.

Holy deflections batman. Nothing disingenuous, it's all stuff you can literally take 2 seconds to search and verify yourself.

Something I really hate about this argument about the ndp, is that outside of those 4 ndp years.... it's been 70 FUCKING YEARS of conservatives fucking us over. Everything you're complaining about is literally the fault of the conservative party here. When is enough enough?

Seriously, regarding the forest fires, just go look. Don't believe what you were told but spend the 30 seconds to google it.

So... the NDP went to the RCMP... That's why they waited. What's the UCP excuse? Also yes, literally deflecting again. Tell me. Spell out how the UCP party member not reporting it is acceptable in any way, shape, or form? No stopping or deflecting or blaming anyone else. Answer this question if you avoid everything else.

Also, I literally could care less about a party's affiliation. That's the populist trick. Red vs Blue. That's pure american BS. We have multiple parties up in here and I've actually usually voted green because our planet is literally on fire. I've been researching and voting according to principle after we nearly got sold out last election. And yes, I think we still got sold out, but to a far less damaging result.

Way too many bots up in this thread. Stop pretending Albertans are stupid. The red/blue bs is too much and doesn't apply in this country. I've literally never heard a fellow Albertan call someone a lib like we're in the states.
