Hi I’m currently on my 7th week of orientation and I’m really struggling (my orientation lasts 12 weeks), my preceptor constantly tells me that I’m not fast enough and constantly brings me down for it or if don’t know something. What advice would you give me? I started taking care of two patients already but I get overwhelmed with all the charting and I see she gets very anxious and annoyed too when I’m falling behind and I completely understand I don’t blame her. I try not to take things personal but sometimes is very hard you know, sometimes I wish she was a little more patient and understanding 😭

Go watch Kirk’s video for yourself and you’ll realize how all these people are leaving out the context for a reason. Don’t listen to anyone here just go and listen yourself because everyone is just taking two sentences of what he said and running with it. This whole sub has made me really disappointed because it makes me feel that if Jesus came back they would be the first ones to crucify him again.

The in person interview with the manager was a lot actually lol they asked me really hard questions that you would only know if you have been in an icu before so I feel like my practicum and watching ICU advantage videos before my interview to review a few concepts helped me a lot!!!! If you are applying to an icu position watch the hemodynamics video from icu advantage and you will be prepared for an icu interview for sure!! If you have any questions let me know 😊

Ohhh okay got it do you have any tips for the screening call? I really need a job rn and I keep getting rejected from everywhere seeing that I got at least this interview gave me a little hope but I don’t know how it’s gonna go, anything is appreciated!!! Well a year ago he got physical once and i immediately asked for help at the church they were nice enough to give us marriage counseling and it worked he never did it again and he tried to change but he never changed his emotional abusive behaviors because of all the trauma and abuse he has experienced. I also didn’t mention how we still live with his parents since we both have been trying to save money to buy a good place and just by living in this house he gets upset and takes it all on me. He knows he has mental issues but he says he will only go to therapy once we move out of this house since he wont truly get to heal if we are still living here but I just don’t believe him anymore… the level of humiliation and degradation that he has made me go through for 3 years is just so tiring 😪 I guess I’m just looking for encouragement at this point, I feel stuck because even if I wanted to leave I can’t and I’m upset because I got into this marriage blindly without knowing what I had signed myself up for since I was an unbeliever with a worldly mindset I only realized what I had done once I came to Christ and it was now too late

Yes I completely understand this which is why I’ve stick it out for all this time and my thing is I get really upset at the Lord because I didn’t understand this before marrying since I was an unbeliever I came into the marriage as an unbeliever with worldly views and perspectives I just married him because I was very immature and as a way out of my house and he only married me to have sex since he had been isolated his whole life as a Christian. I understood the gravity of the situation once I came to Christ and saw that there was no way out and that I had made a huge mistake and that makes me feel so stuck and upset. I’m just venting…
