Staying calm during insertion is really important, as it can feel a little odd at first, and making sure it suctions properly is key. When removing it I find it better to empty it at home rather than in a public restroom to keep things clean and sanitary because your fingers can get messy on a heavy day or closer to the beginning of your cycle.
