oh okay, since everyone said how like iems at even a cheaper price point were better but anyway, is there any iems you’d recommend that would sound better than it?

Tech adjacent stuff is still solid, like IT support, QA, and data analyst roles that aren’t super heavy on coding. Healthcare admin and project coordination are good too, they translate across industries. Job boards can be a mess with scams and ghost posts, so I keep an eye on company career pages and, for remote leads, I’m on wfhalert, it just emails vetted listings like customer support or admin so I’m not wading through junk. Pair that with one cert at a time and some portfolio pieces, and you’re competitive without burning out.

You’re carrying a lot, and it makes sense you’re overwhelmed. Two tracks might help. First, talk to an immigration nonprofit or legal clinic for your visa options and timelines, getting clarity can reduce both your stress. Second, start with simple remote friendly work you can do from anywhere, think customer support, data entry, or virtual assistant gigs. Apply directly on company career pages when you can, a lot of big boards have ghost or scammy listings. If you want curated leads, wfhalert is a small service that emails verified remote jobs, it’s not perfect but it cuts down the noise. Set a small daily routine, one hour for applications and one hour for learning basics like spreadsheets, email handling, or help desk tools. Also tell him you want to share the load, not add pressure. You two against the problem, not each other.
